As everyone knows by now, yesterday, the FBI raided the home of former President Trump, who is the most likely challenger to the current President in the 2024 election. The media often overuses the term “unprecedented.” But this action truly is. We have never seen this before in the history of our nation. So what was this all about? Is there a sufficient justification for this action? Or was there a nefarious political motivation behind this raid? Let’s take a look at the facts.
What We Know So Far
Naturally, one would assume that the FBI, which is ultimately under the control of President Biden, must have a compelling reason to raid the home of the current President’s most likely political opponent. But the search warrant authorizing the raid on Trump’s residence is still under seal, so we actually do not know the justification for this extreme action. This is unconscionable. At the very least, the government must apprise the American people of the justification for their actions.
According to media reports, it appears that the raid is most likely related to a possible mishandling of documents. Apparently, the National Archives wants documents from Trump that they have yet to receive. But that would be a ridiculous reason to authorize such a brazen action by the FBI. The government can easily acquire the documents in question by negotiating with Trump’s attorneys or issuing subpoenas. In fact, Trump has already provided 15 boxes of documents that were requested by the National Archives.
If it is true that this extreme measure was taken merely to retrieve certain documents, then it is safe to conclude that this raid was a disgusting political stunt intended to intimidate Trump or prevent him from running against Biden in the future. There is simply no alternative explanation.
I sincerely hope this is not true. If so, then the United States has entered a perilous new phase from which there is no retreat. In authoritarian nations and corrupt regimes of the third world, it is common for presidents to employ intelligence agencies to target potential political opponents. But this has never happened in the United States of America. This is truly opening Pandora’s box.
The Biden Administration is Not Trustworthy
Under normal circumstances, one would want to give the current presidential administration the benefit of the doubt. But, it is almost impossible to do so because President Biden, and his administration, have lied about virtually everything. Biden has a history of lying about almost every aspect of his life. The President has lied about his childhood, his education, his previous professions, his family, and his “arrests” in Civil Rights protests in the US and South Africa. Since taking office he and his representatives have lied about virtually every political issue including the state of the economy, inflation, the efficacy of vaccines, gas prices, and the crisis at our southern border.
The FBI’s Troubled Recent History
Unfortunately for the country, the FBI is seemingly as untrustworthy as the Biden regime. This is the same FBI that spearheaded the Russia collusion hoax and used knowingly non-credible information to illegally wiretap Trump administration officials. It’s the same FBI that, just a few months ago, was discovered to be using counter-terrorism techniques to monitor parents who protested school board meetings.
This is the same FBI that refused to prosecute Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that she committed at least 110 crimes under the Espionage Act by transferring and storing confidential and top-secret documents on her private server. Hillary then committed a slew of new felonies by destroying cell phones, hard drives, and documents that she was ordered to preserve. Still, the FBI refused to prosecute Hillary or even pursue a warrant to search her private residence.
Finally, this is the same FBI that has not filed charges against Hunter Biden despite possessing his laptop, which contains direct evidence of numerous crimes committed by the President’s son. In fact, it is even worse than a failure to prosecute. According to highly credible whistle-bowlers, senior FBI agents have been attempting to bury evidence of Hunter Biden’s malfeasance and falsely label it as being the product of a foreign disinformation campaign.
I hope, for the country’s sake, that this extraordinary action to use the FBI to go after President Trump has a solid basis. But everything we have seen so far suggests that something more sinister may be going on.
