Illegal immigration and its consequences have become a pressing issue in the United States. Since President Biden’s inauguration, the influx of unauthorized migrants across the southern border has reached alarming levels. This isn’t an isolated issue since it directly impacts the challenges faced by border patrol agents, the rise of Mexican drug cartels, and has a devastating impact on public safety. With the increasing number of violent criminals and the alarming rise in fentanyl-related deaths, it’s crucial we understand the urgent need for effective border security measures.

Millions are still entering illegally

Since the start of President Biden’s term, over five million migrants have entered the United States through the southern border illegally. This influx averages around 200,000 new illegal immigrants each month, straining the resources of border patrol agents. These numbers are concerning and require immediate attention to ensure the safety and well-being of American citizens.

See, the overwhelming numbers of illegal immigrants have left border patrol agents unable to fulfill their duties effectively. As a result, Mexican drug cartels have seized the opportunity to gain control over the southern border. This situation is beyond concerning. These cartels engage in human trafficking, exploitation of children, and the smuggling of deadly substances like fentanyl into the country.

Health and safety concerns

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the smuggling of fentanyl into the United States poses a grave threat to public health and safety. The amount of fentanyl being trafficked by cartels is staggering and has the potential to cause significant harm. Disturbingly, fentanyl-related deaths have skyrocketed, making it the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18 to 45. This crisis calls for immediate action to curb the illegal flow of fentanyl and protect American lives.

The repercussions of inadequate border security and the inflow of illegal immigrants extend beyond public health. The unchecked entry of violent criminals poses a direct threat to American cities. Of course, we should understate the dangers of fentanyl, which, on average, kills close to 200 Americans every day. The consequences of this crisis have placed undue burdens on law enforcement agencies and have disrupted the stability and safety of communities across the nation.

A confusing problem

America faces a perplexingly unique challenge, with no other country tolerating the level of illegal immigration currently witnessed. While American politicians debate and fail to secure the border, lives are being lost, and communities are suffering. It is crucial for policymakers to acknowledge the urgency of the situation and implement comprehensive strategies to address illegal immigration effectively.

Enhancing border security measures, providing adequate resources to border patrol agents, and collaborating with international partners, can help the US can regain control over its borders and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens.

The escalating levels of illegal immigration through the southern border demand immediate attention. With millions of unauthorized migrants entering the United States and Mexican drug cartels gaining control, the safety and well-being of American citizens are at risk.

The smuggling of fentanyl and the infiltration of violent criminals further exacerbate the crisis, leading to public health and safety concerns. It is crucial for our policymakers to work together and prioritize border security measures, provide sufficient resources to border patrol agents, and collaborate with international partners to effectively address the issue
